A lot of people have been asking me if there were really crocodiles in the river and the answer is absolutely yes.  I couldn’t believe it myself at first.  I said “we’re just messing with these guys right? There are no crocs” and they showed me a photo of a fifteen foot one that they had dragged out the day before filming began.  Apparently they weren’t too bothered about his ten foot son

The hardest part about making a show like this is squeezing everything into the allowed time.  So much stuff hits the cutting room floor.  Hopefully we can load up as much of it here though.  Jessica had a classic line that had me rolling around laughing.  When I said ” OK Jessica your turn to pick, only Jason and Peter left:  she said, with perfect comedic timing “slim pickings”  haha  She was joking though so don’t go sending her angry letters if you are Jason and Peter fans.  Some of my other favourite lines from the show were.

By Steele talking about him losing the map:  “Yeah I forgot my bra, so I couldn’t put the map in there” that made me giggle.  And another Steele line: “Ben is an acquired taste, let’s just say that”  He certainly is

By Derek after Kim picked him. “Hi I’m Derek, great pick by the way.” and then also by Derek:  “We’re number one baby!” as he paddles the wrong way down the river.

By Teresa at the top of the kissing tower:  “I don’t know what’s worse, being up here, or having to kiss Peter”  Harsh, but funny.

By Samantha: “Mike is so funny and he says the wittiest things” cut to Mike who says “last one in the water has to kiss a fish”  haha WTF.

Such a great job by the crew making such a fantastic show. It was really tough work to fit episode one into one hour because not only do you have to explain the concept of the show but you also have to introduce all the characters to the audience.  I think they did a brilliant job of that though.  I have seen some cuts of episodes three and four now and they are absolutely banging.  They just keep getting better and better.  If you thought the Steele’s big decision at the Couples Choice Ceremony was intense, you ain’t seen nothing yet   Do you think he made the right move?  Dawn was so adorable.
